Allison grew up in Milan and is a 1986 graduate of Edison High School. After graduation Allison moved to Georgia. While in Georgia Allison began her career in Administration and studied Accounting at Clayton State College.
Allison returned to the area in 1993, met and married her husband Brian Cook in the fall of 1995. Allison and Brian have five grown children; Angela (Mike), Amy (Derek), Lauren, Brianna (Tom) and Derrick (Kirstyn). They also have five grandchildren; Madison, Gabriel, Mason, Maggie and Bentley. Allison feels that it would be remiss not to include their dog Darby and eight grand-puppies; Finn, Hershey, Oprah, Gale, Charlotte, Abbey, Gus and Hank as they are a very integral part of their family. Allison’s husband Brian is a life-long Norwalk resident and that is where they make their home.
Allison has worked in the field of Administration for more than 30 years. She began working for Walker Funeral Home in 2016. Prior to that, Allison worked for 15 years in church administration at Milan Baptist Church. She feels that experience created a very natural segue for her work at the funeral home. Caring for and supporting families and individuals is very important the Allison. She was pleased to become part of the Walker-Eastman-Heydinger staff in 2018 when the Norwalk location became the newest part of the Eastman Funeral Home Family.
In her spare time Allison enjoys following and supporting her grandchildren in their activities and interests, spending in her yard and painting. Most importantly, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends in all of life’s adventures.
