William C. Ludban, 72, of Greenwich, died Friday, May 13, 2022, at Stein Hospice, Sandusky. He was born September 16, 1949, in Willard to the late Norma Jean (Allen) Ludban List and Thomas Ludban. Bill was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He worked in the tool and die department at Midwest industries until serving his country. He then returned to Midwest, then was a tool and die engineer at Lakepark Industries and then moved to Iowa where he worked at Magna Manufacturing. Bill was a member of the American Legion in New London, DAV, VFW in Willard, and F&AM, and attended the Foundation Church in Norwalk. He loved riding his BMW motorcycle, restoring John Deere tractors and hanging around with tractor refurbishing friends and groups. He would drop anything he was doing to help a friend, especially with outdoor projects.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Beth (Bacon) Ludban; stepchildren, Doug (Daniel Jones) Shreve, and Katie (fiancé Dustin Brook) Hall, both of Columbus; brother, Jim Ludban of Marblehead. He was preceded by his parents; stepfather, Ben List; siblings, Thomas Ludban, Jerilyn Walker, Mike Ludban, David Ludban, and Joni Hookway.
Family and friends may gather on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Edwards Grove Cemetery, where military rites will take place. A luncheon will follow at the Foundation Church, 535 US 20 E, Norwalk, OH.
