Shannon P Shehan

Shannon P. Shehan (53) of Nova died Saturday, June 25, 2022, at UH Ashland Samaritan Medical Center, Ashland. He was born March 14, 1969, in Amherst, Ohio, to Richard and Hilma (Vinson) Shehan of Wakeman. Shannon was a graduate of Mapleton High School, Class of 1987, and a veteran E5 Staff Sergeant of the US Air Force where he was a turbo prop mechanic. He later worked as an electrician on the railroad. Shannon was very skilled as a carpenter and enjoyed working on his own home and helping his family and neighbors on various projects. He enjoyed his dogs, being outdoors, gardening, and playing guitar and the sax, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his sons and family.

Shannon is survived by his wife, Lisa (Lewis) Shehan of Nova; two sons, Patrick and Dylan Shehan, both of Ashland; his parents, Richard and Hilma Shehan; siblings, Rick Shehan (Evonne Richards) of Medina and Tiffany (Todd) Mather of Marblehead; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Jean (Lewis) Stewart; his two sisters-in-law, Linda (Owen) Coors and Katrina (Dan) Montoney; nephews and nieces, Nathan and Jonathan Coors, Rebekah, Ivory, and Wesley Garcia, Nicole (Matt), Aria, and Brooklyn Niskey, Raychelle (Jesse) and Chevin Campbell, and Ricky Shehan; as well as many beloved cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Shannon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Gladys Faye (Hardin) Vinson and George and Geraldine “Gerrie” (Nesbitt) Shehan, and his father-in-law, Chester Lewis.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, from 5-8 P.M., at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main Street, New London, with the funeral service being held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
