Rolland “Rolly” Albright, 96, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 8, 1924 in Willard, Ohio to the late Gladys (Robinson) and William Albright.
He was a 1942 graduate of Monroeville High School and married the love of his life, Peggy (Page) Albright on August 21, 1943. Rolland and Peggy were lifelong members of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Norwalk.
Rolland began his married life on the farm and later worked as a bricklayer, stone mason, plasterer, foreman, and superintendent, with construction companies Roth Brothers, Carl Kauffman, and Studer-Obringer.
He leaves a legacy of kindness, generosity, hard work and service to others. He enjoyed helping his kids with home renovations, attending their school events, and making wood crafts for his friends and family.
Rolland is survived by his wife of nearly 78 years, Peggy (Page) Albright; children, Terry (Renee) Albright, Mark (Karen) Albright, Deborah (John) Mayne, and Kimberly (Ron) Zehner; sister, Dorothy Brooks; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Rolland was preceded in death by his son, Eric Albright; and brother, Donald Albright.
Rolland’s family will hold a private memorial service, and he will be buried at Meadow Green Memorial Park Cemetery, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron, Ohio.
