Richard Frank Sugaski, 92, of Wellington, died Monday, March 1, 2021, at Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin. Born on June 11, 1928 in Lorain, he was the son of the late Frank and Stella Sugaski. Richard grew up in the Henrietta area before moving to Wellington.
Richard proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a lifelong farmer in the Wellington area. Richard was a life member of the Wellington VFW, American Legion, and the Eagles. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting fox and coon and raised horses and his hunting dogs.
Survivors include his companion Laura Kimmel; children Duane Sugaski, of Wellington, Cynthia Mitchell, of TN, Jeff Sugaski, of LaGrange, and Susan Henley, of Elyria; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Richard was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
A private memorial service will take place with burial at Jackson Cemetery.
