Patrick Renna Obituary

Patrick F. Renna, 95, of Sandusky, Ohio, and formerly of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the Ohio Veteran’s Home in Sandusky.  He was born on August 10, 1924 in Syracuse, NY.  Patrick was born and raised in Syracuse, NY.  He was drafted and served his country as part of the United States Army during WWII. 

Pat loved sports and both he and his late wife Carol passionately supported Norwalk athletics.  He also enjoyed playing cards and horseshoes. 

Pat spent his career in newspaper distribution, retiring from the Toledo Blade.  He was a member of the Norwalk Kiwanis, American Legion, Elks and the Eagles Clubs. 

Survivors include his stepsons, Mike (Donna) Leak of Somerset, CA, Mitch (Ann) Leak of Pickerington, OH; grandchildren, Katie Snider and Ali McClannan; great grandchildren, Carson Snider, Gracie Snider and Mason McClannan. 

In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his wife Carol (Pool) Renna and sisters, Angela, Ana Marie and Isabel.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 beginning at 11:00 am at Hester Cemetery in Norwalk with Father Andrew Wellmann officiating.  Military honors will also be conducted to honor Patrick’s honorable service to his country.  Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Ohio Veteran’s Home, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870 or the Whitney Field Improvement Committee, 269 W.
