Parketta “Parkie” Meggitt, 70, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 19, 1951, in Seitz, Kentucky to the now deceased Parker and Eula Bell (Back) Johnson.
Parkie enjoyed camping, BINGO, and time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to raising her family, she worked for Industrial Powder Coatings in Norwalk and accompanied her late husband Al on many trips in his truck.
She is survived by her children, AG (Chrissy) Meggitt, Karen Meggitt, Bob Meggitt, John Meggitt, Laurie Meggitt Bergman, Amy (Jeff) Cotterman, Kristin (Dustin) Fitch; numerous grandchildren; several great grandchildren; siblings, Mattie (Ron) Slack and Easter Callahan; sister in-law, Carrie “Tiny” Johnson; brother in-law, Chuck Goldrick and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alfred “Al” Meggitt in 2008; daughters, Tammy Gibson, and Sandy Blanton; granddaughters, Ally Dominguez and Chelsy Meggitt; grandson, Cope Brewer; sister, Saundra Goldrick; brothers, Earl, and Burl Johnson; great grandson, Donald Lippi and brothers in-law, Glendale Fannin and Dan Callahan.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. where a service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021, beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Blystone presiding. Burial will follow in Parkhurst Cemetery, Clyde, Ohio. Memorial contributions if desired may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
