Norma Sanford Obituary

Norma B. Sanford, 96, of Raleigh, NC and formerly of Norwalk, OH, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.  She was born on May 1, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late, Charles and Grace (Miller) Vaughn.  Her family later moved to Brecksville, Ohio.  Norma was married to Bruce H. Sanford for 47 years, who preceded her in death. 

Norma was a member of Eastern Stars, Brecksville chapter 537 in Brecksville, Ohio, Daughters of the Nile, Nefru-Ari, Temple 17 in Oakland, CA, and the First Presbyterian Church in Norwalk, Ohio.  She enjoyed bowling, golfing, cooking, and most importantly her family. 

She is survived by her two children, Bruce Sanford II and his wife Marjie of Norwalk, Ohio and Debbie Miller of North Carolina, five grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren, her brother Charles Vaughn and his wife, Helen, and several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 17, from 1-2 p.m. at Eastman’s Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London, Ohio, where her Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ted Buehl.  Burial will follow at the Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery, 5151 Zenobia Road. Wakeman, OH.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
