Marie H. Fugel, (nee Andryejski), 88, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2022. She was born on October 12, 1933 in Berlin Heights, Ohio, to Walter and Marie (Eslinger) Andryejski. She was married to her husband, William R. “Bill” Fugel for just shy of 60 years; living in Collins, Ohio for the rest of her life.
Except for a short time working at Norwalk Furniture, Marie was a stay at home mom, room mother, basketball and baseball mom, and a community volunteer. She was a charter member of the Townsend Township Fire Department Firebelles, a Townsend Township poll worker, a member of the Women’s Farm Bureau and a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Marie was a loyal Ohio State, Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers fan. Her greatest joy was being married to Bill, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and brother and sisters-in-law Joe and Dixie Andrews and Richard and Martha Andrews, and niece Cheryl Pleska.
She is survived by a son, William Michael “Bill” (Denise Radcliffe) Fugel and two daughters, Sandra Marie “Sandi” Weisenberger (Mike) and Brenda Kaye Haley, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, from 4-7 PM at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 30 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk at 10:30 AM with burial to follow at Collins Cemetery.
