Marcella A (Simon) Henry

 Marcella A. Henry, 87, passed away on October 22, 2020 at the Laurels in New London, Ohio.

She was born to the late Norman and Loretta (Ackerman) Simon on August 17, 1933 and lived her entire life in Norwalk Ohio.

Mart graduated from St. Paul High School in Norwalk, class of 1952.  She worked at Norwalk Truckline in her younger years.  Mart married Charles (Chuck) Henry in 1955 and celebrated 63 years together before Chuck’s passing in 2018. They loved being together and taking off to Pennsylvania for a few days or traveling longer out west.

Mart enjoyed embroidering beautiful pillow cases and doilies and gifting them to her family. She loved to bake cookies & bread and many other sweets especially at Christmas time.  Her family will cherish those memories and many more forever.

She was a caring and loving wife, mom, and grandma.  She will be deeply missed and always loved by her family.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia L. (Lee) LaMothe, Dwight E. Henry, and Gail L. (Neil) Burras all of Norwalk, Ohio,  by her grandchildren, Valerie (Matthew)Smith, Darren Henry, Aaron LaMothe ,  Zach Hyatt , by her great granddaughter Ava Henry, and her sister Norma Missler.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Charles (Chuck) Henry in 2018, son David C. Henry in 2019 and siblings, Irene Hansberger, Richard Simon, And Jerry Simon.

There will be no visitation. A private service and interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church,91 E. Main Street, Norwalk Ohio, or Huron County Humane Society, 246 Woodlawn Avenue, Norwalk, Ohio. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger funeral home is entrusted with arrangements.
