Lee “Bud” Cox, 67, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 16, 1953 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Betty (Arnott) Haney and Chalmer Cox.
Bud grew up in Bay View, Ohio and was a chief of police for the Put-In-Bay, Bay View, and Richwood police departments. He owned and operated B & L Cycle Shop in Norwalk, Ohio, and B & L Maintenance in Richwood, Ohio, since 1990. Bud was a member of the Norwalk Eagles Club 711 and Norwalk American Legion Post 41. Bud was a kind man with a gentle soul and huge heart.
Survivors include his loving wife, Monica (Szabo) Cox; his children, Barbie (Ryan) Wilson, Felicia (Olivia) Cox, Michelle (Kevin) Clegg, Nikki (Jeff) Ansley and Tracey (David) Baker; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brother, Ron (Cindy) Cox; sister, Debbie (Chris) Green; and stepsons, Joseph and Nicholas Flaherty and Kenny Sykes; stepdaughter, Samantha Bussert.
