Larry G. Browand (72) of LaGrange died Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at his residence. He was born August 13, 1949, in Elyria to the late Nellie (Saporito) and Laddie Browand. He grew up in Wellington, attending Wellington High School, and graduated from South Amherst High School. Larry lived in the LaGrange area since the early 1970’s. He served in the US Army, 173rd Airborne, 9th Infantry Division Army Rangers in the Vietnam war. He retired from the Ridgid Tool Company in Elyria. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Larry was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, loved building model airplanes and radio control cars, playing drums, and rocking in local bands. Larry had a great sense of humor, loved a good joke and was known for making people laugh. A big fan of old-school cartoons, he did the best Donald Duck voice impressions.
Larry is survived by 3 children: Jeremy (Amy) Browand of Columbus, Ohio, Brandon (Nohemy) Browand of Athens, AL and Ariann Browand of Cherokee, AL, 5 grandchildren: Keaton Chase, Evan, Tyler, Sarah, and Jack Browand, 2 sisters: Pam Busch of Lorain, Ohio and Debbie (Steve) Guitar of Wellington. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law: David Busch and nephew: Matthew Guitar.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 11AM-1 PM at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St, Wellington.
