Judy Wybensinger Anderson, 72 of Norwalk, passed away Monday March 27, 2023, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Judy was born in Prestonsburg KY, on December 18, 1950 to her beloved mother and lifelong best friend, Betty Jo Hunter.
Judy grew up in Clarksfield, and graduated from New London High School in 1969. She worked as a switch board operator at the phone company before becoming an expert seamstress, eventually retiring from Norwalk Furniture. Judy was feisty and sassy. Standing 4’9”, she was a fixture in New London for decades, becoming a champion bowler and a proud mother of her four New London graduates, Mike, Shelly, Tonnie and Corey. Judy was kind and generous, with a wry sense of humor and was absolutely devoted to her children, 8 grandchildren, and family. She was brave, strong, unforgettable, and simply irreplaceable to those who knew her.
Judy is survived by her four children; Mike Hunter, Shelly, Tonnie, and Corey Wybensinger and her daughters-in-law Lauren, Jessica and Melanie; her father, Holley Hunter; beloved grandchildren, Abby, Emma, and Maggie Hunter, Sydney, Sophia, and Max Bores, Jude and Lucie Wybensinger; and her siblings, Bob (Leah), Rick (Kathy), Marsue (Chuck), Patty (Robert) and Sandy (Al).
Judy is preceded in death by her husband Lyle Anderson; sister, Linda, and her mother, Betty Jo.
Friends and family will be received at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London, on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. Memorial Service. From there, family and friends are invited to gather at the New London Eagles, 29 West Fir St., New London, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. as they honor Judy at a celebration of life.
