John Benci III was a great guy who loved everyone he met. On February 15, 2021 John lost his courageous battle with cancer. He was 46 years old. John was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 30, 1974. He is the son of Nellie (nee Robuck) and John Benci II.
John enjoyed life. He loved his family and friends, they were his first priority. John enjoyed working on model cars, hunting and fishing with Kory. He loved family vacations, especially going to Myrtle Beach and on Caribbean cruises.
John loved New London and served on the New London Recreation Park Board for 8 years. He worked at Johnston Supply in Ashland, Ohio for the past 6 years and Sirna and Son for 3 years, where co-workers became close friends and extended family.
He is survived by his beautiful and loving wife of 13 years, Lana Benci of New London, Ohio; two sons: Kory Benci (Maci Mayhorn) of New London and Anthony Kitson (Jackie Shuler) of Medina; his mother Nellie Benci and his brother, Ed Benci. His in-laws: Emory and Jennifer Bateson, Elizabeth (Michael) Zellner, Amanda Bateson, Park (Alicia) Bateson; niece Sophia, nephews Milo and Xavier and his grandpup Jasmine.
John was preceded in death by his father John Benci II on November 3, 2015 and his maternal grandparents, John and Emma Robuck.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London, Ohio. In honor of John, his family request that those attending wear jeans and come as you are. His funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastman Funeral Home. Those attending are asked to bring and wear a mask and practice all social distancing guidelines.
