John A. Beekman

John A. Beekman (74) of North Fairfield, died on Monday, May 29, 2023, at his home.  He was born April 4, 1949, in Greenfield, Oh to the late Dorothy (Ohara) and Glenn Beekman.  John served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was retired from CSX as the Director of Administration.  He was a member of the North Fairfield American Legion and enjoyed woodworking, watching old westerns, loved animals, was kindhearted and a family man.

John was married to Allene (Parrott) Beekman who preceded him in death in 2017. He is survived by his 2 sons, Allen (Kendra) Beekman of Ashland and Adam Beekman of North Fairfield; 2 grandchildren, Daniel and Courtney Beekman; brother, Bill (Kay) Beekman of Washington Courthouse, OH; John was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 7 siblings, Glenna, Bud, Kenneth, Clarence, Roenna, Don and Bob.

Visitation will be held Friday June 2, 2023, from 12 noon until the time of the service at 2 PM at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main Street, Greenwich, Ohio 44837 with Rev. Ted Buehl officiating.  The burial will be at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Huron County Humane Society, 246 Woodlawn Ave, Norwalk, Oh 44857.
