Jerry E Martin

Jerry E. "Boscoe" Martin, 67, of Ashland, Ohio died on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Ahuja Medical Center with his wife Peggy by his side.  He was born on June 13, 1953, the son of the late Jerry and Betty Joan (Grizzell) Martin. 

Jerry was born in Elyria, Ohio and resided in the Nova area most of his life.  He was a 1972 graduate of Mapleton High School. Jerry was an over the road truck driver.  He was in a band for many years and loved to sing karaoke.  Jerry attended the Garber Brethren Church of Ashland.  He was a member of the Ashland Eagles and the Ashland Moose Lodge.   

Jerry married the love of his life, Peggy "Hiller" Martin on October 29, 2016.  He is also survived by his children, Ryan (Tina) Zudell of New Mexico, Jeremy (Ashley) Zudell of Nova, Jonathon (Evelyn) Martin of Ashland, April (Craig) Britt of Nova, Aaron (Judith) Merle of Nova, Joshua (Natalie) Long of Ashland, Jason (Melissa) Long of Ashland; 18 grandchildren; sisters, Ann Bakos of Nova and Leslie Reisinger of New London; uncle, Emerson Martin; best friend, Lloyd and Brenda Lindsey of Nova; brother and sister in law: Jack and Kim Hiller of Ashland and his Garber Church family.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Roy A. Martin, a sister, Donna K. Martin and special nephew: Marvin Ott.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, January 5, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Garber Brethren Church, 163 Sherman Ave, Ashland, OH 44805 with Pastor Drew Meziere officiating.  Burial will follow at the Nova Cemetery.   Those attending will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines.
