James Monroe Taulbee, 76, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Cleveland University Hospital. Born in Cleveland on October 30, 1947, he was the son of the late James E. and Emma (nee Mayhugh) Taulbee. James graduated from Wellington High School and later moved to Cleveland where he spent most of his adult life.
James started his own transportation company, moving cargo for various companies across the country. He was an active member of St Malachi Catholic Church in Cleveland. James enjoyed traveling and seeing new places across the country through his work.
Survivors include his children, Matthew (Bonita) Taulbee, of Lisbon, Adam Taulbee, of Ofallon, IL, Haley Karas, of Avon, Hilary (Greg) Whitesel, of Grafton, and Joshua Taulbee, of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren; a great grandchild; and sister, Linda (James) Ross, of Elyria. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sisters Darlene Neville, and Carol Leonardi; and a grandson, Jacob Karas.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, November 22, from 10 a.m. until the time of services beginning at 12 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St, Wellington.
