James A Smith Jr.

James A Smith Jr., 51, of New London, died unexpectedly on September 13, 2023 at his residence due to natural causes.  Jim was born in Germany on September 15, 1971, the son of James A Smith Sr. and Sheila (Mundell) Hill.  Prior to coming to the New London area, Jim resided in West Virginia where he worked for the local Sheriff’s Department as a processor and in transport. 

Jim enjoyed being at home and spending time with his family.  He and his family enjoyed going to Cedar Point together.  He liked Triumph Motorcycles and found researching the history of guns interesting.   

Jim is survived by his wife, Kendra (Inmon) Smith; children, Molly, Hester, Ariel, Destiny, Courtney, Sarah and Autumn; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Sheila Hill of West Virginia; brother, Drew Smith and half siblings, Evan, Austin and Kristen.   He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Smith Sr.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London.  Memorial donations may be directed to the family in care of the funeral home.
