Henry “Art” Goble
May 19, 1940 – July 26, 2021
Henry “Art” Goble, 81, residing in Norwalk, passed away at Fisher Titus Medical Center and went home to be with his Lord and Savior early Monday morning, July 26, 2021. Art was born on May 19, 1940 in Mare Creek, Kentucky to the late Mindy (Moore) Goble and Beckham Goble. At 17 years old, Art worked at Sim’s Junkyard and later was employed as crane operator for 35 years at various steel mills.
Art was a very hard worker, who instilled that value in his three sons. He had strong faith and was a dedicated deacon at Deliverance Tabernacle church. In his spare time, he was an avid gardener and skilled yard worker. Art enjoyed running his beagles while rabbit hunting. He generally loved life and never met a stranger. Art’s greatest joy of all was his family.
Art is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Mary (Showers) Goble; 3 sons, Buddy (Veronica) Goble of New London, John (Lalane) Goble of Arkansas and Scott (Amy) Goble of Arkansas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 4 siblings, Carlee (Bobby) Goble of Norwalk, Kenny (Geraldine) Goble of Jerusalem, OH, Doug (Mary) Goble of Alabama and Heline (Lawrence) Lawhun of Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his first wife, Loraine Goble who passed in 2004 and 7 siblings, Jack Goble, Moverene Lewis, Crit Davis, Cat Durfey, Tudy Trosch, Jim Goble and Clarence Goble.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 10 am until the time of funeral services at 12 pm at Deliverance Tabernacle Church, 4717 Prospect Road, New London, OH 44851. Pastor Ron Sallee will be presiding over the services. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. According to Art’s wishes cremation and burial will follow at a later date.
