Helen Elizabeth (Youse) Stacey

Helen Elizabeth (Youse) Stacey died on July 16, 2021, at Gaymont Nursing Home in Norwalk, Ohio.  She was born June 16, 1927, in Newark, Ohio to the late Lois (Roberts) and Frederick Youse and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1945.

Helen and her late husband Charles Stacey, were married on September 23, 1946.  A loving mother, her home was always open to all the “neighbor kids”.  She retired to Boston, Massachusetts in 1982.  Helen enjoyed exploring the New England coast, growing tropical flowers, and boating with her siblings in Lake Worth, Florida in 1994-2000.  She returned to the Norwalk area and spent many hours in the Norwalk Library.  Her favorite expression was “Que sera sera”.

Helen is survived by her four children, Debby (Gene) Kramer, Vicki (Adriano) Orrao, Rebecca Lawrence and Scott Stacey; five grandchildren, Eric (Judy) Schneider and their children, Hannah, Brie and Ellie; Chris Orrao, Zach (Courtney) Kramer and their children, Trice, Dade and June, Nick Kramer, Megan (Steven) Meagrow and their children, Emily, Sam and Logan; and niece, Kathleen O’Malley Zapp.

In addition to her parents and husband Charles, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Knoll and Edna Grace O’Malley and brother, Frederick Youse.
