Glenn "Ed" Edward Lacy

Glenn “Ed” Edward Lacy, age 69, of Greenwich, passed away after a brief illness on January 16, 2022, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.  He was born on August 6, 1952, in Bucyrus, Ohio to the late Charles and Charity (Shepherd) Lacy and was a 1971 South Central High School graduate. 

 A kind and loving man, Ed genuinely cared about others and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  He loved trucks and was a truck driver for most of his life, most recently with Eastern Express out of Middletown, Ohio.   

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Susan (Abbey) Lacy of Greenwich; daughter, Michele June of Greenwich; son, Michael (Bridgett) Lacy of Willard; grandchildren, Paige and Kyle June and Nicholas and Cameron Lacy; great-grandchildren, Paisley Puckett, Hayden Beck and Keith and Carter June; siblings, James (Gloria) Lacy, Gary Lacy, Rita Tolle, Duane (Diane) Lacy and Todd (Becky) Lacy. 

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his siblings, Carolyn Chadock, Ella Mae Hammons, Charles "Bo" Lacey Jr and Ronald Lacy.     

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the 1 p.m. service on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Eastman Funeral Home, in Greenwich.  Burial will follow the service in Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.  To keep everyone as safe and comfortable as possible, guests at the funeral home are encouraged to practice all current COVID19 best safety practices and guidelines.  Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the funeral home in care of the family.  Online expressions of sympathy may be made by visiting www.eastmanfuneralhome.com
