Gertrude G. (Griffith) Handshoe

Gertrude G. Handshoe, 88, of Greenwich, Ohio died on January 19, 2021 at her residence.  She was born on September 19, 1932 in Hueysville, KY.  Gertrude was the daughter of the late Suell and Minnie (Smith) Griffith.  

Over the years, Gertrude worked at Willard Laundry, Midwest Industries and Pioneer Rubber.  She was a member of the North Broadway Baptist Church in Shelby, Ohio where she enjoyed worshiping the Lord.  Her greatest enjoyment on this earth was her grandchildren. 

Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Linda (Dave) Roar of Kentucky, son Larry (Maxine) Handshoe of Indiana and son-in-law, Tim Vanderpool Sr. of Greenwich; grandchildren, Wendy McCrea, Tim Vanderpool Jr., Amber Back, Angie Handshoe, Abigail Handshoe, Rachel Roar, Caleb Roar and Jack Handshoe; great-grandchildren, Silas Cole, Casey Back, Tanner Back, Josiah Vanderpool, London Vanderpool, Easton Handshoe, Cree Rose Wilson, Walker McCrea and Wayne McCrea.    

Gertrude was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Vanderpool; siblings, Dolly Handshoe, Mable Mohl, Laura Conley, Marie Handshoe, Chester Griffith, and Bill Griffith. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich, Ohio with Elder Jim Owens officiating.  Burial will follow at the Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery, Townsend Street, Greenwich.  In accordance with COVID guidelines, masks and social distancing measures will be expected during the service and at the graveside.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.  �
