Deborah Rahrig Obituary

Deborah Ann (Gropp) Rahrig, 66, of Monroeville, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2020 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.  She was born on August 15, 1953 in Montreal, Canada to Mary (McFadden) Gropp and the late George A. Gropp. 

Deborah had many family roles but in everything she did she was loving.  She enjoyed knitting and had made many hats, gloves, and outfits for both young and old.  Deb was a hairdresser for many years before she changed careers and worked at Freudenberg-NOK in Milan. 

Survivors include her loving husband of over 30 years, Robert Rahrig; mother, Mary (McFadden) Gropp; children, Chad Rahrig, Rob Rahrig, Stephanie Rahrig and Will Justice; many grandchildren, one great grandchild and siblings, Karen Ebersole, Michael Gropp and JoAnn Hunley.

In addition to her father, George, Deborah was preceded in death by her brother, Darrel. 

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, OH.  A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020 beginning at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 66 Chapel Street, Monroeville, OH 44847.   Burial will follow the mass in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.  Memorial contributions if desired may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.   Online condolences may be expressed by visiting www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com
