Carol Sue (Miller) Crecelius

Carol Sue Crecelius, 84, of New London, Ohio passed away on January 22, 2022. She was born on November 16, 1937 to the late Elnora (Drake) and Jesse Miller. 

After graduating from high school, Carol took classes to become a nurse's aide. She worked for a short time at New London Hospital, and then she transferred to Fisher Titus where she worked for over 20 years. She also worked at the Sew Line and Kent Sporting Goods and retired in 2002 from Ashland University where she worked for almost 10 years.  

Carol attended the New London Alliance Church and the Fitchville United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choirs and taught Bible School and Sunday School. Carol also volunteered as the Emergency Disaster Director for the Salvation Army. Carol sang in and was a member of Sweet Adaline, and she was involved in the Norwalk Theater.  

Carol is survived by her children, Sherri (Chris) Ingram and Jeff (Wendy) Davis; grandchildren, Shannon Francis, Chris Ingram, Joel Davis, Samuel Davis, and Mahaley Davis; great-grandchildren, Levi Francis, Bowen Ingram, and Barrett Ingram; and brother, Phillip (Phyllis) Miller. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Duane Davis (married for 42 years) and Herman Crecelius (married for 8 years); and her sister, Joanne Moyer.  

Her family will receive guests at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London, Ohio 44851 on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Her family will hold a private service and burial at Ashland Memorial Park at a later time. Her services will be recorded and can be found under her obituary on the funeral home’s website (eastmanfuenralhome.com).
