Carl Knapp Obituary

Carl L. Knapp, 83, of Wellington, died Monday, June 27, 2022 at home. Born on December 9, 1938 in Grafton, he was the son of the late Ernest Sr. and Margaret (nee Heath) Knapp.

Carl was a 1957 graduate of LaGrange High School. While in High School, he was a decorated athlete, receiving 12 varsity letters, setting school records in both track and basketball. He also raised dairy cows on his family farm. Carl was a 4-H advisor for over 55 years. He loved watching and teaching his children and grandchildren to show his born and raised dairy cattle at the Lorain County Fair. Carl was most proud of his All-American nominated cow, Ice. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, enjoyed going to farm auctions and cattle shows, but especially enjoyed time spent with his family.
