Barbara Ann Ward 

January 10, 1932 – January 23, 2022 

Barbara Ann Ward, 90, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at the Laurels of New London.  

Barb was born on January 10, 1932, in Norwalk, OH to the late Loretta (Blinzeley) and Oren Pigman, Sr.  

Barb attended Norwalk High School and spent most of her years being a dedicated homemaker for her family. In retirement, she managed rental properties in Florida before moving back to Ohio to be closer to her grandchildren. In Ohio, she also helped manage apartment complexes in Napoleon and Norwalk. Barb was a faithful member of St. Paul Catholic Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and took pride in cleaning. Her greatest joy of all was spending time with her loved ones.  

Barb is survived by her 4 children, Michael (Callie) Ward of Milan, Gary (Donna) Ward of Berlin Heights, Carol Ward of Norwalk and Kathy Case of Norwalk; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Oren Pigman, Jr. of Norwalk, Donald (Debbie) Pigman of Florida and Patrick (Millie) Pigman of Florida; 2 sisters-in-law, Bonnie Pigman of Norwalk and Juanita Kristy of Florida and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.  

In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Ward; daughter, Susan Salmons; son, Jeffrey Ward; daughter-in-law, Karen Ward; brothers, Jack Pigman and Gary Pigman; and sister, Shirley Vaughan.  

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. All attendees must wear a mask and follow proper COVID-19 prevention practices. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 10:30 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
