Annabelle Hespeler, 100, residing in Huron, passed away peacefully, Sunday afternoon, May 1, 2022.
Annabelle was born on October 18, 1921, in Wellington, OH to the late Edward and Hannah (Wrench) Berner.
Annabelle was a dedicated employee at Fannie Farmers for 20 years. She had a servant’s heart and volunteered for Bloodmobile, Firelands Senior Center, and at Fisher-Titus Medical Center for many years. Annabelle was a very faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where she was involved in the Altar Guild and Christian service day. Annabelle’s greatest joy of all was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Annabelle is survived by 4 daughters, Karen Merson of Oklahoma, Margaret Wiles of Bellevue, Doris (Steve) Smith of Iowa, and Annette (Steve) Towry of Oklahoma; son-in-law, Raymond Smith of Berlin Heights; 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
In addition to her parents, Annabelle was preceded in death by husband, Frederick Hespeler, who passed away in 2018; daughter, Sharen Smith, and 3 siblings, George, Mabel, and Mildred.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 9 am until the time of funeral service at 11 am at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 243 Benedict Avenue, Norwalk, OH 44857. The burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
