Winford Coffey, age 89 passed on to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, July 30, 2019. He was born on July 16, 1930 in Salyersville, KY. He married his sweetheart, Verna Skaggs on April 15, 1955. They were together in marriage 64 years. In 1996, he retired from Pioneer Balloon as a maintenance worker.
He was a loving husband and father of 4 children. He is survived by his beloved wife, Verna (Skaggs) Coffey, and children; Pam (Doug) Shearer, Stanley Coffey, Steve Coffey and Teresa Coffey, along with 2 grandchildren; Kevin Shearer and Kristina Shearer.

He loved to talk and tell stories of the “good ole days”. He had a great memory and would tell stories of things that happened in such detail, it seemed like he was telling something that just happened yesterday. He never knew a stranger. He loved horses, mules, raising copper nose beagles, hunting and having a BIG garden with lots of green beans. He owned a leather workshop with several leather sewing machines and made belts, dog collars, leads and harness. He will be forever LOVED by his family. We will see you again in our Heavenly Home dad.
Visitation will be at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich, Ohio on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 3, at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Larry Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at the North Fairfield Cemetery. Online condolences may be given to the family at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
