William Paul Fayak, 70, of Wakeman, died Saturday, July 27, 2019 under the care of Hospice of Medina County. A son of the late John and Erma (nee Fodor) Fayak, Bill was born on October 24, 1948 in Stubenville, Ohio. He was a Brunswick High School graduate.
After 42 years, Bill retired as a welder from General Motors in Parma. He was an involved member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Wakeman and also the Wakeman Eagles. Bill was very family oriented, and his grandchildren were one of the greatest joys in his life. Bill loved to ride his Harley and was a member of the Harley Hog Club. He enjoyed NASCAR, gardening and tending to his flower beds. Bill was a huge Cleveland sports fan, especially cheering on the Browns.
Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Susan (nee Jobe); daughter, Yvonne (Greg) Kitko, of Wakeman; grandchildren, Joshua (Akia) and Matthew (Emily); siblings, John “Butch” (Marlene) Fayak, Robert (Roseann) Fayak and Carol (Bill) Thompson and his beloved dog. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Betty Ann. Bill will also be remembered as a loving brother-in-law and a best friend to many.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31 from 10 am until 1 pm at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. A Funeral Mass will be held following the visitation at 2 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church, 46 E. Main St., Wakeman. The Fayak family invites everyone to a luncheon at the Church following the Mass.
