Peggy Terry Obituary

Peggy S. Terry, 71, of Sullivan, passed from this life to the next on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Medina Hospice Care Center.  She was born on November 29, 1947 in Yolyn, WV to the late John Bennett “JB” and Stella (Adkins) Owsley.  She married the love of her life John Terry at the age of 17 and graduated from Logan High School.   She lived in Logan, WV until 1987, when the family moved to Ohio. 

She was a bank teller for a many years, retiring from First Merit in Wellington. 

Peggy enjoyed cooking and time with her family, and cherished time with her grandchildren. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years John Terry; children, Marty (Mary Jo) Terry and Mike Terry; grandchildren, Seth, Morgan and Becca; brothers, Carlos (Barb) Owsley and Johnny Ray (Gay) Owsley as well as a host of many loving nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Deloris Carter and brothers, Dewey, Harold, Richard and Billy Owsley. 

A memorial will be held on July 27, 2019 from 2-4 pm at the Victory Freewill Baptist Church, 263 Long Fork Rd, Pecks Mill, WV, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
