Etta Lou Hipp, 79, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2019 at Fisher Titus Medical Center. She was born on December 18, 1939 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Irvin George and Jennie Blanche (Boone) Howell.
She graduated from Vermilion High School in 1958 and attended Bowling Green College. Etta was a teacher for persons with special needs at Monroeville High School and a nurse’s aide at the Moravian Villa in Milan, Ohio.
Etta was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed yardwork, pulling weeds, NASCAR and cowboy movies.
Survivors include her children, Susan (Allan) Hohman of Norwalk, Thomas (Vicki) Hipp of Monroeville and Daniel (Denise) Hipp of Norwalk; brother, Larry (Karen) Howell of Vermilion; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Etta was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Donald Hipp in 2018, son David Hipp, and granddaughter Karra.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W Main St, Norwalk, from 1 pm until 5 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 at St Paul Catholic Church beginning at 10:30 am, with Msgr. Ken Morman officiating. Burial will follow in St Paul Catholic Cemetery.
