Collins, Ohio – Rose A. (Miller) Hummel, 55, of Collins, Ohio, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 in her home after a lengthy illness. She was born September 26, 1962 in Norwalk, Ohio, and was a lifelong area resident.
Rose was a 1980 graduate, and Valedictorian, of Western Reserve High School, and received her Paralegal certificate from E.H.O.V.E. Joint Vocational School. She was a paralegal for Attorney’s Thornton, Harwood, and Weisenberger, Norwalk, Ohio, for 20 years. Rose also taught at E.H.O.V.E. Joint Vocational School’s Paralegal program. She enjoyed reading, cooking, especially enjoyed being with her family, holiday traditions, and was a devoted Cleveland Brown’s fan.
Rose is survived by her spouse of 18 years, John F.. Hummel of Collins, Ohio, by her children, Keith A. (Misty) Roswell of Greenwich, Ohio, Tiffany L. (Christopher) Blair of North Fairfield, Ohio, and Ashley R. Miller of Norwalk, Ohio.
She is also survived by her mother, Carol J. Miller of Norwalk, Ohio, by her grandchildren, Paige, Trinity, Kaylee, Jacob, Trystan, Nevaeh, Fox, Lexis, and Braelynn, by her brother, Jimmy Miller, and nephews, Shawn and Adam Miller. Rose was preceded in death by her father, James G. Miller.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. A gathering of fellowship will follow the service at Victory Baptist Church, 132 Gallup Avenue, Norwalk, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hummel family.
