Norwalk, Ohio - Glenn M. DeWitt - 78, of Norwalk, died Wednesday afternoon, February 15, 2012 at his residence. He was born December 13, 1933 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania to the late Milton R. and Margaret (Christman) DeWitt and had lived in this area for 40 years.

He was a member of Norwalk  Eagles  Aerie Post # 711 and  UAW Local # 425. He had worked for Ford for 31 years retiring in 1990. Glenn enjoyed woodworking, playing horseshoes, fishing and good times with his family and he loved being with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Ruth  (Bruce) DeWitt, of Norwalk, Ohio, by his sons and daughters in law, Terry and Vickie DeWitt, of Lorain, Ohio, David and Alyse DeWitt, of North Carolina, Daniel and Judy DeWitt, of New London, Ohio, and Troy and Kristi DeWitt, of Norwalk, Ohio, by his daughter Denise DeWitt, of Collins, Ohio, by 12 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters in law Darrell and Lee DeWitt, of Lorain, Ohio, and Jerry and (Elaine) DeWitt, of Vermilion, Ohio.

There will be no visitation or services. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St. Norwalk, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
